The Day

Byrd Call No Comments »

I have often been asked how a professional cyclist such and bicycle
shop owner such as myself organizes his day. Well folks I start with
this simple three step process that is sure to start anyones day out
on the right foot.

Step 1 (Positive Aspirations)

I look right at myself in the mirror and announce what positive things
I will accomplish today. For instance, today will be the day I finally
shoot that pesky squirrel who keeps eating the seeds out of my bird
feeder.

Step 2 (Learning New Things)

I promise myself to learn at least one thing throughout the day.
Yesterday I learned to use longer nails when making my bird feeders to
keep pesky squirrels from eating my bird seed. See the nails stick all
they through the wood forming deadly squirrel killing spikes.

Steps 3 (Good Deeds)

The most import part of the process is to look right at myself and vow
to do at least one good deed throughout the day. I could visit the
local pond and feed the ducks, or build bird feeders in my back yard.

If you do these things I have no doubt you will become a better bird
or person.

Next week I’ll post a Poem

I’m also working on a hit song called “HotDog”

Hello Darlings.

This is MaMa Bird.

My Baby Bird is still sick from the TOC.  So he ask if I take his place and update this here blog.  He talks about this blog all the time.  Saying that he has the Number 1 blog at the moment, with 13 hits a day.  Saying that his blog is the only thing keeping Missingsaddle alive.  I don’t know about that, it’s all crazy talk to me.  That Skiles though is one weird man.  I can see why no women would want him.  Talking from a female point of view, he’s not very savvy, and his looks, oh brother, were should I begin.

Anyways.  my Baby Bird did us proud.  Making that break on Stage 4.  My lord.  Only then to get sick and quit two days later.  Bird, just shouted and wanted me to mention a thank you to the Broom Wagon.  Saying something that the driver of that there vehicle was sure nice.  Even had a sandwich for those riders who might drop out.

Next stop for the Bird will be San Dimas followed then By Redlands.

I also wanted to say shame on those who was writing dirty things on this blog.

I read some of those quotes, and if your mama’s knew what some of you wrote, she be ashamed of you.   Baby Bird was trying to keep it real without moderation (whatever that is), but now he has to moderate(whatever that means).

Try to keep your comments clean and fun, but not dirty.  Remember that Bird represents not only himself, but others.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Maybe I can do this again, it was fun.  MaMa Bird.

I just thought I tell everyone.  Stop being lame.

Jones, JPuff, and myself are the only ones keeping it real.  We come up with new stuff to say bi-monthly.

What’s with you people commenting on the Bird’s Blog saying the same stuff all the time.

Non-Paid Pro Never wins.  It’s not funny.   Or how about this one why don’t you get a result before you blog.

Have you ever heard of Farmer Hanks Road Race.  Look it up I won it.

And I am paid.  If your going to blog make me laugh.  Chocolate Thunder was the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

You know I might turn this blog into serious subject matters.  Like Who are next President should be.

Cyclist are so lame.   And metro-sexual.

P.S. Lars, I wish we was back in Jones trailer.  Watching chick flicks cuddling underneath a blanket.  Miss those days.

I’ll put up some pictures of my latest training rides and lie to you all about how much I train.

I just have to figure how to get these Polaroids scan to my computer.

I’m leaving for the T.O.C. theres a Tail Gun Club convention going on and I must participate.

This guy thinks I’m lame for having a blog.

My feelings are hurt.  I thought I was doing a good thing, by having a blog.  I mean I have so many things that are so interesting.

Yes I do own a bicycle shop.  Mead’s Bicycle Shop.  I’ll have it’s website up and running soon.  I’ve own it 4 years now.

I started this blog to NOT talk about training.  I hate people who go on and on about what there training is.

Like today I rode with the Jelly Belly team, up to Alpine from Lake San Marcos.  I have to say My legs are looking good, I mean damn good.  We rode 5.5 hrs. and I did a good number of steady stats.  The temperature was 55 degrees. With the barometer at 35 degrees and falling.  The Bike GT is feeling fine with Campy components, Champion System Clothing.  Sport Beans in the tummy, Rudy Projects, on the head.  Yeah It’s coming around.  Im so serious.

O.K. fellow Bloggers I have to go get a massage.

One last note.  Bill  You said I was a non-paid pro.  You know what’s best about me getting paid, and owning a business, a lot of write offs, bud.  I google you today, didn’t find anything whats that about.

Non paid Pro Out.
